Dialogue on “Humiliation”

Hi everyone,
You are warmly invited to a colloquium on the theme of humiliation, featuring work by Associate Professor Heikki Ikäheimo<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/3ix1CgZ0N1imGDNGEUNfrT4J4oI?domain=t.e2ma.net> and Dr Supriya Subramani<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/LPXUCjZ1N7i3RVARoCRhPTmug01?domain=t.e2ma.net>.
This will be a 2-hour colloquium based on the two papers linked below, combining short presentations with collaborative discussion.

Heikki will share a draft chapter from his forthcoming contribution to a volume on Avishai Margalit’s work, exploring the conceptual and normative dimensions of humiliation. Supriya will present her ongoing work on the phenomenology of humiliation, reflecting on lived and embodied experiences and offering a theorization of humiliation as a moral and phenomenological category that could open new ethical and analytical possibilities.
