Dear All,
You are warmly invited to attend a public lecture hosted by the Institute for Ethics & Society at the University of Notre Dame Australia:
AI and the Good Life
Professor Meghan Sullivan (University of Notre Dame, USA)
Monday 9 March
6:00 pm (5:45 pm arrival)
St Benedict’s Hall, 104 Broadway, Chippendale NSW
As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes our world, new ethical questions arise about human flourishing, responsibility, and the kind of society we wish to build. In this public lecture, Professor Meghan Sullivan explores how philosophical reflection on the good life can illuminate the moral challenges posed by emerging AI technologies.
The event also marks the launch of Tech and Human Futures, a new research initiative at Notre Dame Australia examining the human and ethical dimensions of AI and emerging technologies.
Professor Sullivan is the Wilsey Family College Professor of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame (USA) and Director of the university-wide Ethics Initiative. Her work focuses on ethics, decision-making, and the philosophical foundations of human flourishing.
All are welcome.
