Abstract

Blak Humour is a vital part of Aboriginal storytelling, cultural knowledge, resilience, and resistance. More than just comedy it is the tradition of the oration of humorous yarns, it reinforces kinship, challenges stereotypes, and reclaims narratives. Angelina explores the role of humour in Aboriginal oral traditions, highlighting how it entertains, educates, and sustains cultural continuity. Through Blak storytelling, she unpacks how humour operates as a tool for survival, truth-telling, and connection, ensuring our stories and our laughter continue across generations.
