[SydPhil] Conference Evolving Individuality (2-4 December 2024, Macquarie University)

Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the Department of Philosophy and the Agency & Ethics Research Centre at Macquarie University will be hosting the Evolving Individuality Conference.
This conference will focus on biological individuality from an evolutionary perspective, addressing topics ranging from the origins of life and complex organisms to the development of animal cognition. We have invited both theoretical and experimental biologists, alongside philosophers, to foster cross-pollination between the disciplines. We also hope this conference will not only bridge philosophy and biology but also advance our understanding of major evolutionary transitions.
The conference will run from 2 – 4 December at the MGSM Executive Hotel (located on campus).
