[SydPhil] 2024 AAPAE ETHICS OLYMPIAD

The 2024 AAPAE Tertiary Ethics Olympiad was held last week. Outstanding eth-letes from universities around Australia via Zoom as they dealt with current and engaging ethical issues. Judges from around the world unanimously praised the participants for their insightful discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence, free speech, and the environment, among others. One coach, Dr Alex Cain from the University of Melbourne, commented, "In my opinion, the discussions are only getting better and better year by year. I really can’t say enough good things about the Ethics Olympiad."
Here are the results:
Australian National University ACT (Green) clinched the Gold Medal, followed by the University of Melbourne (Aqua) with the Silver Medal, and Australian National University ACT (White) securing the Bronze Medal. Congratulations to all the teams, including those receiving honourable mentions!
Judges awarded honourable mentions to the following teams: Monash University (Red), The University of Western Australia (Orange), The University of Melbourne (Maroon) and Macquarie University (Blue and Purple).
