ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
The University of Notre Dame Australia is a Catholic University with over 1,000 permanent staff providing an exceptional educational experience to over 12,000 students across our Fremantle, Broome, and Sydney campuses, as well as clinical schools in Victoria and New South Wales.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The School of Philosophy and Theology seeks a philosopher who possesses expertise in a fundamental aspect of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition. The role is situated on the Fremantle and will report to the National Head of School.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a course coordinator.
* Consult with students, mark assessments, and deliver unit and tutorial material.
* Prepare and deliver lectures and seminars.
* Attend department meetings and actively participate.
ABOUT YOU
* Hold a PhD in Philosophy in the Catholic Tradition.
* Proficient in the coordination of core curriculum courses
* Ability to teach courses in Philosophy, including the History of Philosophy at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
* Experienced in teaching Ancient Philosophy/Thomas Aquinas/Thomism and/or Personalism (desirable)
* Experience in Tertiary education setting.
* Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
