PhD SCHOLARSHIP ON THE PHILOSOPHY OF WORK

Location: Philosophy Department, Macquarie University, Sydney

A 3-year PhD scholarship on the philosophy of work is available at Macquarie University for 2020-2022 ($27,082 per annum). It is open to domestic students with a Masters degree or equivalent. The scholarship is linked to the ARC DP grant DP190103116, led by Prof Jean-Philippe Deranty. The project aims to map out objections to the value of work and to provide a series of rejoinders, to make "the case for work". The PhD research will be expected to complement the project, either by focusing on key authors, or by exploring a core theme.
