Hi all,

Many of you will already know me either as a PhD candidate (now completed!)
or as the convener of Socrates Café Sydney.

However, in the wake of my doctorate, I've now taken on the role of Science
& Technology editor at The Conversation <https://theconversation.com/au>.
Given my background, I'm also keen to expand our philosophy coverage.

So I'm inviting all of you to write for The Conversation.

If you haven't done so already, it's easy. Basically, you pitch ideas, and
once you get the go-ahead, we help you polish the article, and then push it
out to the 2.2 million-odd readers that frequent the site each month - not
to mention the 17.8 million reached through other sites, like the SMH or
the Australian, that republish our material.

I'm interested in stories of all kinds, whether big picture, historical,
analytical or something pegged to current events. Happy to chat about and
help refine story ideas.

So if you're interested in writing for The Conversation, please don't
hesitate to drop me a line using the contact details below.

Best regards,

Tim Dean PhD
Science + Technology Editor
