John Cusbert (University of Sydney)

A physical object's intrinsic properties are those it has in virtue of
how it is in itself (e.g. being spherical). A physical object's chance
properties encode its current chances of doing certain things at
certain times (e.g. having a 70% chance of exploding in the next
minute). I'll explore the relationship between these two kinds of
properties. I'll argue that extant characterisations of the
relationship are either incorrect or incomplete, and propose a new
alternative.
