Subject: The Workgroup on Recognition, focus on social pathologies, Saturday (this week), March 8, 12-2.30pm, The Duck Inn
The next meeting of the Workgroup on Recognition in Sydney is on Saturday this week, February 8, 12.00-2.30pm at the Duck Inn Pub (74 Rose St, Chippendale).
We will continue on the theme of social pathology, 'pathology', and 'life', discussing Georges Canguilhem's book The Normal and the Pathological (Zone Books 1991), pp. 29-64.
Anyone interested in theories of recognition, or in critical social philosophy in general (both students and staff) are warmly welcome. If you know anyone else who might be interested, feel free to pass on the information.
If you have trouble in accessing the text, let me know and I’ll pass it on to you.
Looking forward to seeing you there,
