The following CPC seminar may be of interest:
Dear Biology Domain colleagues,

Monday afternoon - 9 May - there will be two presentations by overseas guests in a special seminar entitled Prostate Cancer and Metabolic Syndrome<http://charlesperkinscentre.e-newsletter.com.au/link/id/zzzz5705fc38bc38d811Pzzzz56aed252b860e306/page.html>.


Below are some non-cancer related reason you may find this event of interest :

1.       There will be signal transduction pathways!

2.       Metabolomic and Lipidomics - or should that be analysis of the Metabolome/Lipidome,

3.       Metabolism, Metabolism, Metabolism!

4.       Drug development to target AMPK and ACC/FASN,

5.       The use of cell lines, rodent models and patient samples = translational science

6.       Both labs are interested in understanding disease mechanisms, identification of therapeutic targets AND informative biomarkers.
