From kristy.wallmo at noaa.gov Sat Mar 21 04:15:15 2026 From: kristy.wallmo at noaa.gov (Kristy Wallmo - NOAA Federal) Date: Fri, 20 Mar 2026 13:15:15 -0400 Subject: [Limdep Nlogit List] error setting/expanding project space Message-ID: I am trying to reset my project space in Nlogit and am having trouble. I'm using options/tools/project and adjusting to a larger project size (the minimum size I would need to accomodate my data), then closing and reopening. When I reopen the program I get this message: "The program could not allocate sufficient memory for the data area, so it has reset the data area to 5000000 cells" Unfortunately this is not large enough to accommodate the dataset I have. Our office just completed a Microsoft update, but I wouldn't think that would affect this. Any advice or has anyone had the same problem? -- Kristy Wallmo, Ph.D. Economist, Office of Science and Technology NOAA Fisheries | Department of Commerce 301-257-9653 From wgreene at stern.nyu.edu Sat Mar 21 04:29:23 2026 From: wgreene at stern.nyu.edu (William Greene) Date: Fri, 20 Mar 2026 13:29:23 -0400 Subject: [Limdep Nlogit List] error setting/expanding project space In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Kristy. I can't tell from your note what the problem is. You can set the number of cells with Project -> Settings -> Number cells Then exit, as you did before and restart. I currently have 40,000,000 cells as the default on my ordinary desktop machine., /Bill Greene On Fri, Mar 20, 2026 at 1:15?PM Kristy Wallmo - NOAA Federal via Limdep < limdep at mailman.sydney.edu.au> wrote: > I am trying to reset my project space in Nlogit and am having trouble. > > I'm using options/tools/project and adjusting to a larger project size (the > minimum size I would need to accomodate my data), then closing and > reopening.
