Subject: reading text data

Hi all,

I'm trying to read space delimited text data into Limdep (the dataset is too
large for Excel). The problem is that Limdep is reading fewer lines of data
(n=98,xxx) than are in the text file (n=158,704).

Here is my code:

Read ;file=c:\data\name.txt ;nobs=158704 ;nvar=14
;names=x1,x2,x3,x4,x5,x6,x7,x8,x9,x10,x11,x12,x13,x14$

Tools=>Options=>Projects tells me I have 100 million data cells so I think I
have allocated enough space.

Everything works fine wehn using the same code but smaller data (n=77,106
with 14 variables). Any ideas?

Thanks,

John Whitehead
