[Limdep Nlogit List] data-reading error

Hi. I'm new to LIMDEP/NLOGIT so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm
trying to read an excel file into NLOGIT with 3489 rows and 15 columns.
Sometimes when I read it in, I get this error message:

The instruction at "Ox5f402181" referenced memory at "0x0000000004". The
memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.

And other times, it will read in the excel file but tell me that there were
X missing values and only read in a very small portion of the data. With
the 3489 row x 15 columns data set, it reads the first 220 rows and leaves
out the rest. (Yes, I have adjusted the settings to tell it 3489 rows so
this should not be the problem.)

I have another data set with 440 rows x 79 columns and I have the same
problem except that when it does read in some of the data, it's usually only
the first 50 rows that are read.

There is a third data set with 109 rows x 79 columns and sometimes it will
read in the first 50 rows and skip the middle 10 and then read in the last
49. I have eliminated this problem by deleating one specific column. If I
deleat any more columns or if I deleat any other column than the one
specific column (found this through trial and error!), I get the error
message 9 - end of data set occured.

I've tried splitting the 440 row set into 9 different data sets to read them
all in indiviually and create one large set in LIMDEP, however, it will only
read the first set and then tells me that it cannot find the subsequent data
sets. Is this because it cannot read in multiple excel files?

Any help that anyone can give me I would greatly appreciate.

Kate
