[Limdep Nlogit List] Reading Excel data file without variable names

I know I'm missing something here - this sounds like pushing a square peg
into a round hole.  If the file is read without names, then how will you refer to
the variables when you operate the program?  The program can issue default
names X1, X2,... but do you really want this?  On the other hand, all it takes to
get around this is to read the Excel file into Excel, and add a row of names to
it.  (Phil has it right, by the way, the program does expect the row of names in
all cases.)
