Dear Geodynamics colleagues,

In cooperation between the Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (IGN), the Niels Bohr Institute (NBI), and the GLOBE Institute at the University of Copenhagen, along with the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) and the Geological Society of Denmark, we have organized a two day symposium honoring the legacy of Denmark's most important seismologist, Inge Lehmann.

The symposium is sponsored by the Carlsberg Foundation and the University of Copenhagen and will be held on January 29-30, 2025 at the Geocenter Denmark complex housing IGN and GEUS in central Copenhagen.

The goal of the symposium is to bring together a diverse group of Earth and planetary scientists to discuss all aspects of Earth's interior at all scales to highlight the current state-of-the-art and define future directions in solid Earth research.

In addition to the 11 keynote speakers noted on the attached flyer, we invite additional contributed presentations related to understanding Earth's interior, it's relation to other components of the geosphere, and implications for understanding planetary evolution.

Themes include, but are not necessarily limited to:
• Structure of the solid earth from surface to core;
• Geodynamic evolution of the earth and solid planets;
• Coupled geophysical and petrological observations illuminating Earth and planetary interiors;
• Interactions between the solid earth and the oceans, atmosphere, and cryosphere;
• Applications of geophysical methods for resource exploration and understanding natural hazards.

Because the symposium is limited to 100 participants, if you are interested in attending, we encourage you to register early. If you plan to contribute a presentation, the abstract can be submitted later using a separate link before November 8.
