Dear Colleagues,
We are thrilled to announce that the second ILGE Transnational (TNA) and
National Open Access (NOA) call is now open. The ILGE TNA/NOA program
offers students, researchers, and professors in the field of geosciences a
unique chance to receive funding and access to cutting-edge Italian
laboratory facilities.
About ILGE and MEET:
The ILGE <https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/fXLgCp81lrtxPoyqQsPfVIGjr6u?domain=ilge.ct.ingv.it> (Integrated
Laboratories for Geosciences and Environment) network is an initiative that
is part of the larger MEET <https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/q5k_Cq71mwf7GNRnLcXhAIEpygZ?domain=meet.ingv.it> (Monitoring Earth's
Evolution and Tectonics) project, supported by the European Union PNRR Next
Generation Europe program and the Italian Ministero per l’Università e la
Ricerca. ILGE involves key Italian institutions - Istituto Nazionale di
Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), the University “Roma Tre” (UniRomaTre),
Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), and Istituto Nazionale di
Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale (OGS), integrating diverse Earth
Sciences disciplines, including experimental volcanology, geophysics,
tectonics, paleomagnetism, geochemistry, microscopy, core logging, and site
effects investigation.
Opportunities:
The 2nd TNA/NOA call aims to promote open science and innovation by
facilitating access to key national facilities for geoscientists at all
stages of their career (i.e., BSc, MSc, and PhD students, as well as
researchers and professors). The ILGE TNA/NOA network allows in-person or
remote access to Italian laboratory facilities for national, European, and
extra-European individuals providing the logistical, technological, and
scientific support and the specific training needed to use the services
provided by the facility. The access is free of charge with the ILGE
TNA/NOA network covering the costs of physical access activities (i.e.,
travel, accommodation, and sustenance) or remote service (i.e., sample
shipment). Applications can be submitted through this website
<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/hsb4Cr81nytDXZ67wi4iQI4GCEw?domain=ilge.ct.ingv.it>, and we encourage you to review the Call
