We have released version 2.0 of stripy, the spherical (and Cartesian) triangulation package which provides a simple python interface for triangulation, mesh building, interpolation, numerical derivatives, smoothing, mesh refinements, point locations using k-d trees and construction of the Voronoi diagram. More information on the package is at the home page here: https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/sG3HC0YKPvip1BgKuw-g8X?domain=underworldcode.org

The code is open source and available from github - https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/C28xCgZ0N1iDMywruoVU87?domain=github.com or as binaries through pypi (pip) and anaconda (conda) with details provided on the home page.

The algorithms derive from the venerable fortran code of Robert J Renka which are also used in GMT but are now wrapped for very efficient usage in python scripts and codes.
