[Geodynamics] 15th International Workshop on Modelling of Mantle and Lithosphere Dynamics

Dear colleagues,

We are happy to announce that the 15th International Workshop on Modelling of Mantle and Lithosphere Dynamics will take place in the Netherlands from 27 to 31 August 2017. Please reserve the dates and follow http://nethermod.sites.uu.nl/ for updates!

The workshop brings together early career scientists and specialists from geodynamics, applied mathematics, and material science to exchange and discuss advances in the methodological aspects of numerical implementations as well as latest developments and good practices in numerical modelling applications. We will centre on 15 keynote lectures with ample time for in-depth discussions with speakers and plenary discussions, and for poster sessions with contributions from all participants.



We envisage the following sessions:

- Tectonic processes of the crust-lithosphere system

- The coupling between plates and underlying mantle

- Bridging spatial and temporal scales: from mantle flow to faults

- Evolution of the early Earth and planets

- Numerical advances
