Hi All,

I wanted to bring your attention to Australia's National AI in Research Survey.

The University of Melbourne and STA are conducting Australia's National AI in Research Survey, which aims to better understand how artificial intelligence is being used across the Australian research ecosystem and to inform future policy, infrastructure and capability development.

The survey should take 20mins to complete and will be open until 25 September 2026.

The survey aims to understand how, why, when, and where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used in research across Australia. The survey is designed to capture insights across the full research life cycle, encompassing all disciplines and career stages, as well as covering multiple categories of AI.

This survey will deliver a baseline understanding of how AI is being deployed and adopted across Australia’s research sector. The survey’s findings will help inform future policy and support wider institutional and governmental efforts related to the responsible use of AI for research in Australia.

If you are interested in contributing, you can complete the survey here: https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/V8sQClx1Njik24GQ5uGfMJhzKVQ6?domain=q.surveys.unimelb.edu.au <https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/V8sQClx1Njik24GQ5uGfMJhzKVQ6?domain=q.surveys.unimelb.edu.au>

Cheers,
Sarah
