Dear colleagues,

I’m happy to announce we are advertising a continuing position at the University of Sydney: Lecturer in Radio Astronomy.

The successful applicant will establish a new research program in radio astronomy that takes advantage of the opportunities offered by the SKAO; broadens the current activities in radio astronomy within the School of Physics; and complements the research directions currently pursued by members of the Sydney Institute for Astronomy (SIfA). While all areas of radio astronomy relevant to the SKAO will be considered, we are particularly interested in candidates with interests and expertise in any of the following areas: extragalactic radio spectral-line and continuum surveys, multiwavelength studies of active galaxies or galaxy evolution, studies of the intergalactic or circum-galactic medium, or cosmology.

The deadline for applications is October 11th 2026. Please contact me or Elaine Sadler if you would like more information about the position.

Tara
