Dear Colleagues,

Some of you will have noted our email a couple of weeks ago (below) noting the illness of James Lloyd who was an Honours student in the Antarctic Astronomy at UNSW and went on to a successful career in the US.

A sad but not unexpected update is in order:

Subject: James Lloyd from Cornell

Dear Colleagues,

Some ASA members will know James Lloyd who was an Honours student in the Antarctic Astronomy group at UNSW, PhD from Berkeley (2002), then Caltech postdoc before establishing a career at Cornell University. He was active in astronomy instrumentation and space communities.

Jamie has been battling cancer and was recently moved to palliative care at home. If anyone who knows Jamie would like to send him a message, I have organised a digital card where you can write a note, or alternatively you can just email directly to the address below.
