Dear Colleagues,

The NCA together with AAL and the AAT Council will hold a Town Hall to discuss the future of optical astronomy in Australia (including nrIR and ALMA!) across two sessions at the ASA Annual Scientific Meeting this Thursday afternoon.

In the 1-2pm session we will start with presentations:

15min Update on the Future of the AAT - Chris Wolf and Karl Glazebrook

15min Update on Large Telescope Access - Sarah Brough and Alex Cooke

Leaving time afterwards for discussion with the intention that the discussion will extend into the 4-4.45pm session as needed.

The Town Halls will be recorded for those who have not registered for the ASM.

Regards,
Sarah
