Dear friends and colleagues:
Difficult news from Nottingham this week: 56 of the 71 staff in the School of Physics and Astronomy have received notices of potential redundancy, myself included. Massive and misguided restructuring plans aim to eliminate over 600 roles across the university. This includes a staggering 1/3 of physics staff.
Many of our academic friends around the world are showing their support via this open letter, which I would be grateful if you could consider signing:

Please feel free to circulate this message widely. Thank you for your support.
Best wishes
Meghan
