Dear NC Astronomy

Each year, the Australian Academy of Science confers its honorific awards to shine a light on researchers who have made outstanding contributions to science.
We need your help to find the 2027 recipients of our honorific awards. Through you nominating or encouraging scientists to nominate, we are able to recognise remarkable achievements in research fields including ICT, Earth sciences, biology, physics, mathematics, chemistry, experimental biomedicine, genetics and more.
We are seeking nominations of outstanding scientists from all career stages, backgrounds and genders. We strongly encourage more nominations of women for all awards, in particular our career and mid-career honorific awards.
Honorific award nominations close on 1 May 2026. Conference, research award and travelling fellowship applications close on 1 June 2026.
