Base Salary: $117,226 – $139,207 plus 17% superannuation

Position: Full-time, fixed term (18 months, until end of February 2027)

Location: Callaghan Campus

The School of Information and Physical Sciences (SIPS)<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/-zeaCVARKgCgLoXz6izh3cELW0O?domain=newcastle.edu.au>  is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Solar and/or Stellar Physics to work in the Discipline of Physics, with the opportunity to contribute to the Centre for Space Physics.

The successful candidates will have:

  *   -A PhD in Physics or equivalent relevant field.
  *   -Demonstrated recent experience in an academic role delivering results in research and innovation, teaching and learning, and service and engagement.
  *   -Strong research track record (relative to opportunity) in an area relevant to Solar and Stellar Physics.
  *   -Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.
