Dear Colleagues
As part of an ARC-funded Discovery Project grant, we have a PhD scholarship and a 3 year postdoctoral position (level A8) available at Swinburne University to work with Professors Forbes, Brodie and Couch. The project also offers the opportunity to work with Professors Kenji Bekki (UWA), Baerbel Koribalski (CSIRO) and Bob Abraham (Uni. of Toronto).
The project is focused on observations of extreme low-mass galaxies, including ultra diffuse galaxies and dark galaxies. As well as using data in hand, it will also involve new observations with the Keck telescopes (Swinburne has access to 20 Keck nights/yr).
PhD applicants should have a Master’s degree with a significant research component and ideally some work in a published journal. Interested applicants should submit an Expression of Interest by the 14th March to:

Postdoc applicants should have:
* Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
* Demonstrated experience in relevant astronomical analysis projects.
* A strong track record of publications in astronomical journals.
* Ability to work successfully as part of a team.
* Experience with optical integral field unit data is desirable.
