Subject: AAT Delta Time Call

Delta Call for AAT Proposals

Deadline: 11:59pm AEDT, Wednesday 15 January 11:59pm AEDT, Friday 24 January

The Australian Time Allocation Committee (ATAC) is issuing a delta call soliciting proposals to use instruments at the Cassegrain focus (Veloce, KOALA or visitor’s instruments e.g. HIPPI) on the Anglo-Australian Telescope between 17 March and 22 April 2025.

This delta call arises from a necessity to remove Hector with the 2dF top-end from the prime focus during this period to allow uninterrupted continuation of the 2dF refurbishment before it is back in operation in June 2025.

The deadline for proposals is 11:59pm AEDT, Wednesday 15 January.

Proposals must be submitted using the Lens proposal preparation system<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/R7AsC1WLPxcE7OVwEHLfJSVUdgN?domain=lens.datacentral.org.au>, which has been opened for this delta call. Note that Lens is not well optimised for the Delta Calls, so please contact Kate (kate.barnard at astronomyaustralia.org.au<mailto:kate.barnard at astronomyaustralia.org.au>) or Lucyna (lucyna.chudczer at astronomyaustralia.org.au<mailto:lucyna.chudczer at astronomyaustralia.org.au>) if you have problem with proposal submission or have any other questions. Details on how to prepare proposals are available here<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/JOPVC2xMQziEN6MoEH1h9S5P1Yi?domain=aat.anu.edu.au> under the “AAT Time” tab.

In addition to the details noted on this page, only astronomers affiliated with Partner institutions can be listed on proposals. Partners for 2024A are the Australian National University, Macquarie University, Monash University, University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales, University of Queensland, University of Southern Queensland, University of Swinburne, University of Sydney, University of Tasmania and Western Sydney University.

Kind regards,

Chris Lidman and Kate Barnard (On behalf of ATAC)
