[ASA] Meeting Information and Registration for Structure and polarization in the interstellar medium: A Conference in Honour of Prof. John Dickey

Dear colleagues,

In honour of the retirement of Professor John Dickey, we are gathering global experts for a one-week collaborative conference to discuss the structure of the Milky Way, the interstellar medium (ISM), polarization, and Galactic magnetism. This unique scientific venture will allow participants to highlight the achievements of Professor Dickey, showcase their recent and upcoming research, and work with other experts to solve problems and advance our knowledge of the spatial, chemical, and magnetic structure of the ISM of the Milky Way and nearby galaxies. We will include ample time for collaborative work, allowing participants to do real-time investigations and engage with new questions and ideas as the conference proceeds. Participants are encouraged to come with ideas, questions, tools, and data.

In an effort to promote inclusivity and reduce environmental impacts, we are splitting the conference across two locations, one in North America at Stanford University and one in Australia at the CSIRO, Australia National Telescope Facility. There will also be an option for remote participation. Both conference venues will include ample teleconferencing equipment to facilitate cross-site collaboration and presentations.

Meeting Dates: 10 to 13 February (Monday-Thursday) in North America, 11 to 14 February (Tuesday-Friday) in Australia
