[ASA] Light Bridges: Telescopes for Better Research and Education

Dear members of the Astronomical Society of Australia,

My name is Markos Aguirre Elorza and I am talking to you on behalf of 
Light Bridges. We operate 2 newly built 80-cm robotic telescopes in the 
Teide Observatory (IAC), in the Canary Islands, and two more 2-m 
telescopes are in the final stages of development.

We are exploring collaboration opportunities with universities and 
institutions that may be interested in using our robotic telescopes for 
educational and research projects. Our 80-cm telescopes are versatile, 
precise, and fully remote, making them an excellent research tool, from 
graduate students who want to learn about telescope operation and data 
reduction to postdocs, PhD students, and researchers who aim to carry 
out significant investigations.

I believe our telescopes could be excellent equipment for the 
Astronomical Society of Australia, serving as a complement to the 
existing resources at various Australian observatories and institutions. 
I would be happy to arrange a meeting to explore potential educational 
and research collaborations in the future.
