[ASA] AusSRC Community Engagement Workshop - save the date: 5 Dec 2024

Dear ASA community,

The Australian SKA Regional Centre (AusSRC) will be holding a one day community engagement workshop on Thursday 5 December, the week before the ESO-SKA meeting<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/kfUzCp81lrtQr5woLtPf7CGD6Xn?domain=eso-ska2024.org>. The meeting will be held across the whole day, both in person within the CSIRO Auditorium of the Australian Resources Research Centre (ARRC) building in Perth, and online via MS Teams.

This workshop is taking place prior to an upcoming expression of interest (EoI), and subsequent call for proposals, for AusSRC support that helps to facilitate scientific research projects. The particular focus within this round will be on supporting Australian SKA precursor science. The workshop will be a chance for prospective proposers to present their science project requirements, and ideas for their proposals, during which some back and forth discussion can be expected, touching on feasibility and related ideas on design and implementation, including input from software developers.

At this point we’d simply like to ask you to save this date. More details on the workshop, and upcoming EoI, will be distributed in the near future.
