NRAO 2025 Jansky Fellowships

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) invites applications for the 2025 Jansky Fellowship Program. The Jansky Fellowship supports outstanding early career scientists to conduct independent research that is broadly related to the NRAO's mission.

We welcome applicants who bring diverse and innovative dimensions to the Observatory and to the field of radio astronomy. As a Jansky Postdoctoral Fellow, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to and learn from the development and delivery of the largest and most capable radio telescopes in the world. Candidates with interests in radio astronomy techniques, multi-wavelength collaborations, instrumentation, computation, and theory are encouraged to apply. Fellows are provided with numerous opportunities to acquire deep knowledge and understanding of the state-of-the-art radio astronomy science and instrumentation to establish themselves as innovative, independent research scientists and the leaders in the field.

The Fellowship Program is open to early career applicants of any nationality. NRAO offers competitive salary package, comparable to that of other prize fellowships in the US. A generous research budget is provided for travel and computing support, page charges, and other direct research costs. In addition, NRAO provides excellent paid time off benefits, health insurance, retirement benefits, and relocation allowance. The fellowship can be based at the NRAO or any US university.

The deadline for submission of the application materials is Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11:59 pm EDT.
