[ASA] AAT Delta Call February to April

Delta Call for AAT Proposals - Deadline: 11:59pm AEDT, Wednesday 14 February

The Australian Time Allocation Committee (ATAC) is issuing a delta call soliciting proposals to use instruments at the Cassegrain focus (Veloce, KOALA or visitor's instruments e.g. HIPPI) on the Anglo-Australian Telescope between 1 March and 31 July 2024.

This delta call arises from ongoing difficulties repairing 2dF, resulting in the instrument being taken off the telescope for a minimum of three months (to 30 April 2024) and therefore requiring the AAT to be rescheduled.  While the period 1 March to 30 April will be rescheduled, we are soliciting proposals to the end of the 2024A semester (31 July 2024) in case further time is needed to repair 2dF.  Any proposals for observing between 1 May and 31 July should be aware that they will only be scheduled if 2dF is not fixed by 30 April.

The deadline for proposals is 11:59pm AEDT, Wednesday 14 February.

Partners for 2024A are the Australian National University, Macquarie University, Monash University, University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales, University of Queensland, University of Southern Queensland, University of Swinburne, University of Sydney, University of Tasmania and Western Sydney University.
