[ASA] MeerKAT 2023 Call for Proposals

Dear colleagues,

The South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) invites users to apply for observing time on MeerKAT.
The deadline for proposal submission is 12:00 UTC (14:00 SAST) on Tuesday, 3 May 2023.
A minimum of 1750 hours of telescope time will be awarded through this opportunity.
Novel proposal types and observing capabilities are offered in this Call.

MeerKAT consists of 64 dishes with superb sensitivity on baselines of up to 8 km.
This Call offers continuum, spectral line, and pulsar/fast transient capabilities employing
the UHF (580-1015 MHz), L- (900-1670 MHz), and S-band (1.75-3.5 GHz) receivers.

In order to assist all users with proposal preparation, two live online information sessions will be given on the 3rd and 4th of April 2023 (to cater for time zone differences). We shall walk new and returning users through the proposal preparation resources and answer any questions that may have arisen while preparing observing proposals. Users are welcome to attend either session at their convenience. Times and registration links are as follows:
