POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH & TEACHING POSITION: ASSOCIATE LECTURER - RADIO
TRANSIENTS WITH THE MURCHISON WIDEFIELD ARRAY 

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral associate lecturer to
process and deliver science from radio transient searches and archival
data taken with the Murchison Widefield Array. The position is based at
the Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy, a node of the International
Centre for Radio Astronomy Research, in Perth, Western Australia. The
researcher will work with project leader Dr Natasha Hurley-Walker and
other science experts at CIRA to detect new radio phenomena including
long-period repeating transients.  

We seek a candidate with excellent skills in radio astrophysics and/or
astronomy, with experience in transient and pulsar astrophysics and
follow-up being particularly advantageous. We will offer the three-year
fixed-term position at Academic Level A. The role includes a teaching or
translation & impact component. Applications close 7th September. For
