The position is based at the Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy, a node of the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research, in Perth, Western Australia. The researcher will work with project leader Dr Natasha Hurley-Walker and other MWA science experts at CIRA to continue processing and publishing the GaLactic and Extragalactic All-sky MWA - eXtended (GLEAM-X) survey. This builds on the success of the original GLEAM survey and will be the widest-bandwidth low-frequency survey of the southern sky to date, producing wide-area images in both continuum and polarisation. We seek a candidate with excellent skills in supercomputing, the organisational capacity to undertake a large survey, and the ability to deliver science results therefrom. We will offer the three-year fixed-term position at Academic Level A or B commensurate with the candidate's skill and experience. Applications close 2nd July. For the full advertisement and a link to the application portal, see: https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/YokFCgZ0N1ilN24qQSNPdqX?domain=staff.curtin.edu.au Enquiries should be directed to Natasha Hurley-Walker (Natasha.Hurley-Walker at curtin.edu.au). -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... The event will be an online version of the popular in-person ?speed mentoring? events held at ASA meetings in previous years, in which mentees and mentors are randomly paired to network and chat for a few minutes at a time. We will run the event using Glimpse, an online platform that allows mentees to be matched with mentors for one-on-one video calls. Everyone is welcome, from students to professors, and anyone can sign up to be a mentee, a mentor, or both! Please register for the event here by Monday 20th of June: https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/chyRCVARKgClXA8DATGI-cw?domain=forms.gle Kind regards, Henry, on behalf of the ASA ECR steering committee _______________________________ Dr. Henry Zovaro (he/him) Postdoctoral fellow Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics Australian National University Phone: +61 2 6125 0240 Mobile: +61 413 300 254 Email: henry.zovaro at anu.edu.au [cid:14FD5880-391D-44AD-85DD-7BB894FCD70C at anu.edu.au] -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
