Updates from the EMCR Forum
The EMCR Forum Executive Committee is recruiting new members

Are you an EMCR interested in making a difference and improving the national research environment in Australia? If your answer is yes, then the EMCR Forum would like to hear from you.

The Australian Academy of Science EMCR Forum is currently accepting expressions of interest from EMCRs to join the Executive Committee in 2022.

We are looking for four new Executive Members who can bring enthusiasm, dedication, skills and fresh ideas to the EMCR Forum.

All EMCRs are eligible to apply (given less than 15 years’ experience working in science since PhD award, career interruptions will be taken into consideration), but preference may be given to those who represent regional locations, fields of expertise, diversity attributes and career levels that are underrepresented or not currently represented on the Forum Executive.

For this round, the EMCR Forum Executive strongly encourages applications from EMCRs who:

• Work in industry, government, CSIRO and other non-traditional research backgrounds
• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
• Work in regional areas
• Identify as non-binary or gender non-conforming
• The Forum Executive has a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and will select new members in accordance with these principles.

To apply, complete the EOI form via the ‘APPLY’ button below and let us know about yourself and how you would like to contribute to the Executive. Don’t miss this opportunity to be a community leader for the EMCRs in Australia and to advance solutions that will lift the whole science community.

Expressions of interest close 11.59 pm AEDT Wednesday 20 October 2021.
