[ASA] Gordon Godfrey workshop on Astroparticle Physics and CoE discussions

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to announce the "Gordon Godfrey Workshop on Astroparticle 
Physics" taking place next week (30 Nov - 4 Dec).

The workshop aims to present talks on a number of current topics in the 
field of astroparticle physics ( i.e., the field at the intersection of 
astrophysics and particle physics). The talks will be organised around 
three themes - Origin of Extreme Particles; Origin of Mass & Matter; 
Origin of Expansion & Structure - and held during the mornings of the five 
days with a brief recap session on each day. The meeting website provides 
a brief summary of each of the themes.

The three themes are built around a proposal for an ARC centre of 
excellence (CoE) with the current working title "Centre for Cosmic Origins 
and Extremes". A discussion session on the CoE will be held on the final 
afternoon of the workshop (Friday 2-4pm) in order to progress the CoE 
concepts and teams going into 2021.

We therefore welcome anyone with an interest in astroparticle physics 
topics and the proposed CoE to join the workshop, specific talks, and/or 
discussion.

The workshop will be primarily held remotely via Zoom. In order to keep 
track of the participant numbers, we would ask that you please register at 
the website above. The Zoom link will be provided to registered 
participants.

There is also an option to join the Friday afternoon CoE discussion 
session face to face at UNSW. Please contact Michael, Jan or Yvonne 
(details below) if you plan to attend in person.
