[ASA] Introducing the Australian Optical Data Centre (powered by Data Central)

We are pleased to announce the first major release of the Australian Optical Data Centre (ODC), an AAL-funded project.

ODC is a collaboration between Data Central and SkyMapper to produce a single entity that provides access to optical and infrared data of national significance. Other features and services currently under active development include:


  *   An IVOA-compliant Simple Spectrum Access service
  *   Lens proposal system integration into the Data Central ecosystem
  *   Automated data reduction pipelines

ODC received grant funding from the Australian Government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS), via Astronomy Australia Ltd (AAL).
