[ASA] Call for submission of bids to host 2021 ASA Annual Scientific Meeting and HWSA

Dear ASA Members,

The ASA Council is seeking bids from institutions wishing to host the 2021 Annual Scientific Meeting of the ASA and the 2021 Harley Wood School for Astronomy (HWSA).

In 2021, the ASM meeting dates are suggested to be Monday July 12 - Friday July 16, 2021. The HWSA is usually held in the days preceding the ASM.

These dates are chosen to adjoin with the Edoardo Amaldi Conference on Gravitational Waves, hosted by Swinburne University in the week of July 19 - 23, 2021. Locations that allow for straightforward attendance at both meetings would be beneficial.

Bid must be submitted by January 31, 2020 for consideration by ASA Council in its February meeting.

As a reminder, the 2020 ASM will be absorbed into the 14th Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting of the IAU (APRIM), to be held in Perth in the week of July 6-10, 2020. ASA-specific meetings and Town Halls will be accommodated in the program.
