Dear Astronomers,

registration for the 14th annual ANITA workshop and ANITA summer school is now open!

The Australian National Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (ANITA) summer school will take place February 3-5 and the theory workshop will take place February 6-7, 2020. Both events will be held at the University of New South Wales Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory.

The major aims of the ANITA theory workshops are to bring together astronomers working in theoretical/computational astrophysics, to raise awareness within our community about theoretical astrophysics research opportunities and challenges within Australia, and to facilitate and encourage collaboration between these groups. There will be no invited speakers or posters: everyone who is interested to present a contributed talk should indicate this on the registration form (see below).

The ANITA summer school theme this year is 'Cosmic Explosions'. PhD, Masters and undergraduate students working in (or having a strong interest in) theoretical astrophysics are encouraged to attend. The first day will focus on evolution of massive stars and their explosions. The second day will focus on high-energy explosions/transients, nucleosynthesis, and optical supernova remnant observations, while the third day will focus on fast radio bursts (FRBs) and will include an excursion to the Molonglo Observatory Synthesis Telescope, just outside of Canberra.
