You are welcome to attend Town Halls at venues other than your home institution, but please notify Meaghan.Dzundza at science.org.au to ensure access (e.g. AAO-MQ). The purpose of the Town Halls is to briefly summarise the aims of the MTR, to summarise some of the issues and recommendations contained in the white papers and facility papers which are now available at the MTR website, and to solicit input from the broad community on matters arising from these papers and other issues relevant to the MTR. Papers on demographics and diversity will be available at a later date. Finally, the MTR committee will meet in mid-November, after the conclusion of the Town Hall meetings, to begin the process of drafting the actual MTR document. It would be appreciated if feedback from the community is received by then. You are welcome to send any comments or queries to me (Lister.Staveley-Smith at uwa.edu.au) or to other MTR committee members (Tam Davis, Chris Tinney, Cath Trott, Amanda Karakas) with a CC to Meaghan.Dzundza at science.org.au.
