Hi ASA,
We’re excited to be hosting the next Annual Meeting of the Astronomical Society of Australia at the University of Queensland from 7th-12th July, 2019.

To make sure we cover the range of topics of most interest to the Australian astrophysics community we would like to have a diverse scientific organising committee (SOC), and thus this quick email to ask for volunteers. We welcome contributions from PhD students, postdocs, and faculty.

If you’re interested in helping arrange the scientific program for the meeting, please email Kylie Williams (cc’d) with your name, institution, subject of research, and reason you would like to be on the SOC (a couple of sentences is all we need). If you can get that to us before the 14th of October it would be much appreciated. We may not be able to accommodate everyone but we will make sure we have a wide range of research areas covered.

Thanks in advance! We're looking forward to a great meeting.
All the best,
Tamara
p.s. If you don’t want to be on the SOC, but still have ideas you’d like to see implemented — feel free to contact myself, Holger Baumgardt, or Kylie Williams.
