*** Vacancies on the Australia Telescope User Committee (ATUC) & ATNF Time Assignment Committee (TAC) ***
Members of the Australian astronomical community are invited to nominate for vacant positions on the Australia Telescope User Committee (ATUC) & Time Allocation Committee (TAC) of the Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF). Please see an outline of vacant positions, a brief summary of each committee as well as links and closing dates for nominations.
Australia Telescope User Committee (ATUC):
ATUC is a group of ten to fifteen scientists, including two student members, that represents the users of the Australia Telescope National Facility. ATUC meetings are a forum for ATNF users to raise any issues regarding the operation of the facilities and to suggest changes to their operation. Also in discussions will be recommendations for ATNF future development plans & priorities. This committee meets twice a year, usually around May and October, with new members being solicited to join ATUC beginning from its October 2018 meeting. New members will finish their three year term after the May ATUC meeting in their last year. All students are appointed for one year (two meetings).

Closing dates for applications: COB Friday 10 April 2018.
ATNF Time Assignment Committee (TAC):
The ATNF TAC is the committee that reviews and grades proposals for National Facility time on the ATNF telescopes: currently, Parkes, the Australia Telescope Compact Array, the Long Baseline Array, and host country time on the Tidbinbilla antennas. The ATNF TAC meets twice a year, generally in early February and late July. The term of an ATNF TAC member is usually 3 years, but may need to be staggered to ensure smooth turnover in membership. New members are being solicited to commence at the February 2019 meeting.
