Dear GMT SAC Members,

 ? ? GMTO will host an open house at the January AAS meeting in 
Washington on Tuesday Dec 9 at 7:30. There will be an open bar and other 
refreshments.
Please join us if you are planning to attend the AAS meeting.

 ? ? An invitation is attached. Please distribute this to others in your 
department ? particularly students and postdocs who are likely to be at 
the AAS. We had a great turn out last year and are looking forward to 
broad participation at the coming meeting as well. There is a great deal 
of progress to report and planing for the coming years to discuss.

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory near Penticton, British Columbia, Canada for the 8th meeting of the SKA Pathfinder Radio Continuum Survey Working Group. Please, mark your calendars. In the beginning of 2018 Early Science with ASKAP and MeerKAT will be an important milestone on the path to full operations. First results of Early Science with all SKA precursors will likely be a dominating part of this meeting. 

More details including a link to a web page and registration information will be provided in the second announcement in early January 2018. Please feel free to forward this email to your colleagues and students.
