The AAO Data Central (ADC) team would like to invite you to the first in a series of Data Central workshops on the 2nd November 2017.
Data Central provides storage, sharing and cross-matching currently of optical and infrared data. Data Central has been designed as a 3V (Variety, Volume and Velocity) data centre. ADC is able to provide access and cross-matching to a variety of different data types and sets (data cubes, spectra, images and tables). We are able to work with heterogeneous data. Data Central currently has SAMI DR1, GAMA DR2, GALAH and the AAT Legacy data archive with many additional datasets to be ingested in the coming months (eg. 2dFGRS, 6dFGS, TAIPAN, SAMI DR2). We will involve other wavelength data over the next 12-18 months and will be interoperable with other All-Sky Virtual Observatory (ASVO) and IVOA nodes.
