Position Number: 01003464, Academic Level  B, remuneration range $104,992 to $124,098 pa, Toowoomba location

The USQ Astrophysics Group invites applications for a Research Fellow (Astrophysics) to join our dynamic team developing Mt Kent Observatory’s new MINERVA-Australis telescope array. The MINERVA-Australis project is aimed at the detection and characterisation of exoplanets, and will support the forthcoming NASA Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) space mission via high cadence, highly precise photometric and radial velocity measurements. The Research Fellow is expected to have a flair for instrumentation and software development, be capable of making a significant contribution to USQ’s research effort in astrophysics, and be willing to assist with the training of USQ postgraduate research students.
