Dear ASA Members – an SKA update from the ANZSCC SAC

One of the ongoing aims of the ANZSCC Science Advisory Committee (SAC) is to maintain good communications within the Australian astronomical community on SKA related issues.  The SAC is committed to providing public summaries of each of our quarterly meetings.

The next SAC meeting will be on 26 February 2016 at CAASTRO HQ in Sydney. Key items on the agenda will be

  *   Progress with the SKA intergovernmental negotiation.

  *   Implementation of an Australian SKA fellowship scheme.

  *   The OzSKA 2016 meeting to be held on 8 April as a forum for face-to-face SKA related discussions and key updates;  a further announcement will follow from the OC in due course.
