A couple of news items from the AAO's International Telescopes Support
Office:

1. The Gemini Observatory seeks feedback from international community
astronomers to help develop for the future. We encourage everyone, both
users and non-users of Gemini, to complete the brief survey at
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZGCKQNQ. The initial questions focus on
defining your needs in the coming years, and the second part concerns
current services. The survey will remain open through June 1, 2015. The
observatory and National Gemini Offices will review the results, and
will use them as important input during community-wide discussions at
the Future and Science of Gemini Observatory
<http://www.gemini.edu/fsg15> meeting in mid-June (for which late
registration closes on 23 May). Although Australia will no longer be a
full partner in Gemini after 2015, Australian astronomers will still be
able to apply for a total of 7 classical nights on Gemini in 2016
<http://www.astronomyaustralia.org.au/news#2014>.

2. A reminder that the registration deadline for the 2015 Australian
Gemini, Magellan, and Keck Science Symposium
<http://www.aao.gov.au/conference/itso-symposium-2015> to be held 21-22
May at the AAO in Sydney, is *Friday 8 May 2015*. Registration is free,
and there are still a few speaking slots available. Everyone who has
some experience in, or interest in using 8m-class telescopes is
encouraged to attend.
