Dear ANITA and ASA members.
I'd like to announce the second in our ongoing Google Hangouts on Air lecture series.
Speaker: Aaron Robotham, ICRAR
Title: "An Introduction to R, AKA: The Basics"
Date: Friday 23th August 3pm (AEST)
Where: The internets
For those who don't know, R is a very powerful statistical programming language. This lecture will be the first in a series of four, the latter going on to explore "Bayes Theory", "Computational Bayes", and "Applied Bayesian Astronomy". This first lecture will not only be very useful in its own right, but set the groundwork for those upcoming.
As always, the hangout will be recorded. More information and links can be found at http://anita.edu.au/lectures/
Looking forward to "seeing" you there!
Darren
